Welcome and Affirming Statement

The Abba's Touch Baptist Church welcomes everyone as children of God, regardless of who they are. We are committed to providing a safe and open-hearted environment for all individuals, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer Christians, and straight allies. We also support women and LGBTQ individuals in professional ministry. Our belief is centered on accepting people. We believe that it is clear in the scriptures that Jesus lived, died, and rose again as a sign of God’s unfailing love and that he opened the doors of God’s kingdom for all people regardless of age, sex, race, or sexual orientation.

During the pivotal board meeting of Abba’s Touch Baptist Church on June 9, 2024, the decision was made to establish the church as a welcoming and affirming congregation. This momentous shift came after rebranding from Chosen Generation Ministries, Inc. Pastor Bradley Matthews-Middleton and Minister Darryl Middleton facilitated a compelling discussion, leading to the official approval at 7:00 P.M. The installation of the first LGBTQ couple as pastors sparked this transformative change. Abba’s Touch Baptist Church boldly embraced its new identity, transitioning from being Chosen Generation Ministries to an LGBTQ-led organization with a fresh perspective.
